About

Abrar Al-Hasan received the B.Sc. degree in computer engineering from Kuwait University, and an M.B.A. and Ph.D. degree in Business and Management with a focus of information systems from the University of Maryland at College Park, MD, USA, 2004, 2008, and 2013, respectively. She is an Assistant Professor of information systems with the College of Business Administration, Kuwait University. She has more than ten years of consulting experience in IT fields, specializing in software engineering, and data mining and market analysis. Her research interests include social media and social networks, health IT, online markets, digital innovations, crowdsouring, and economics of information systems. She is currently involved in research on the impact of digital markets on consumer behavior within the financial, educational, and healthcare industry.
