Our mission, at the department of finance and financial institutions (FFI), is to enable our student, graduate and undergraduates, to be key contributors in all the fields of financial management. To accomplish this mission, we strive to continuously develop and enhance our curriculum and programs. The latest reward for these efforts is the acceptance of our Bachelor degree into the CFA Institute University Affiliation Program. This status is granted to institutions whose degree program(s) incorporate at least 70% of the CFA Program Candidate Body of Knowledge (CBOK). FFI adopts 1st class textbooks and teaching ancillaries. FFI’s programs match those of the highest standards.
In addition to the undergraduate program, the department provides major teaching contributions to two post graduate programs: the MBA and the Islamic Finance Diploma in addition to the new Master of Finance and Master of Islamic Finance.
To maintain teaching / research quality, the department is highly selective in recruiting teaching staff. Our staff are given the chance to develop their teaching skills and research ability through attendance and participation in local and international seminars, conferences and meetings.
It is equally important for us to actively participate in community service through providing specialized training programs and consulting services. We are proud of our students and staff as some of them were hired for leadership position in the financial market and government.
