Kuwait University, Kuwait. He received a B.S. degree in Mathematical Statistics from Alexandria University, Egypt, in 1978. He received M.S. degree in Mathematics in 1988 and Ph.D. degree in Transportation Systems Analysis and Planning in 1991 both from Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas, USA. His research interests include: Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Network Optimization, Scheduling, Transportation Systems Analysis, Transportation Planning, Transportation Network Modeling, Freight Transportation Modeling, and Mathematical Programming.
