Michail Skourtos is a full professor at the Department of Economics, College of Business Administration. During his career, Michail has studied and published on topics including behavioral microeconomics, economic tools for uncertainty and risk assessment, non-market valuation of ecosystem and climate services, green taxes, environmental markets and finance, water resources management and policy, watershed management and coastal systems, energy investment appraisal, climate adaptation planning, ανδ stakeholder analysis. He is the Director of the Academic Accreditation Unit at the College of Business Administration, a consultant to the Governor of the Bank of Greece on the economic impacts of climate change and a former Honorary Research Fellow, Centre for Social and Economic Research on the Global Environment [CSERGE], University of East Anglia, Norwich, UK. Michail has been affiliated with several international organizations [OECD, EU, BONUS, EUROSTAT, UNESCO/MAB, DAAD] on matters of sustainability policy and assessment, served on the Board of the Joint Research Center, European Union, and hold eleven visiting research and teaching positions in Greece and abroad.
